A WEDDING singer who missed out on the chance of joining One Direction was last night given a second shot at fame thanks to his former X Factor rival, the boy band’s star Louis Tomlinson. Tom Richards, 24, first auditioned for the ITV singing show in 2010 when he was just 16 – the same year Tomlinson and his platinum-selling band mates were put together as a group – and reached the judges’ houses stage of the competition.
